What do the mounts mean?
The mounts are the fleshy pads at the base of each finger and along the edges of the palm, each named for a planet: Venus below the thumb, Jupiter under the index finger, then Saturn, Apollo and Mercury. Tradition reads a full, firm mount as strength in that planet's territory, warmth for Venus or ambition for Jupiter, and a flatter mount as a quieter expression of it.
