Already deleted your account? Then it is done, and there is nothing to sign in to: signing in again would start a new, empty account.

What is deleted

  • Your name, email address, phone number, profile photo, gender and reading hand
  • Your birth date, time and place, your consent to use them, and your birth chart
  • Your palm readings, and the text of your reports
  • Every message in your chats with our astrologers, and any ratings you gave their answers
  • Your sign-ins on every device, your sign-in links and codes, and the notifications set up on your phone or browser
  • Feedback you sent us from this account or its email address, including your answers to our short surveys
  • Our record of the emails we sent you and of how you used Palmist, the IP address you signed up from, and your account from the old Palmist site, if you had one

What is kept, and why

  • Payment and order records (including the price and date of each report), your wallet history, and the billing lines of your calls and chats (which astrologer, when, for how long and what it cost). Indian tax law requires us to keep these for about six years. They are kept under an anonymous id, without your name or email address, and any note our staff added to them is replaced with a standard line. Your payment provider also keeps its own record of each payment. If a payment reaches us after your account is deleted, email [email protected].
  • A few details that don't identify you, kept with that anonymous id: your country, your language, the date you joined and the date your account was deleted.
  • An anonymous code for the phone or browser you signed up on. We keep it so the same device can't collect the new-user bonus twice. If you make a new account on that phone or browser, it will carry the same code, so it could be connected to this anonymous history.
  • If you had an account on the old Palmist site: a one-way code made from its email address, kept only so that old account is never brought back. The code can't be turned back into your address, though someone who already has the address could match it.

In the Palmist app: open Profile and tap Delete account, at the bottom of the screen.
